During my UPSC preparation journey I learned that Prelims is the most difficult part. I used to create my notes in MS Word file from standard text books, online sources, NCERT and The Hindu Newspaper. There were 70 questions asked directly from these notes in UPSC Prelims 2024.

There were 67 questions asked from our Quick Notes in UPSC Prelims 2023. 55 questions had all the relevant facts directly covered in our Quick Notes and the remaining 12 questions included 1 or 2 facts found in our notes.

How is the claim of 70 questions from our Quick Notes for Prelims Calculated?
In the UPSC Prelims GS Paper, many questions are based on 2 to 3 factual statements, and candidates must choose the correct option based on them. Out of the 70 questions we claim, 58 have all the relevant facts directly covered in our Quick Notes. The remaining 12 questions include 1 or 2 facts found in our notes, while the third fact is not present. However, we have included these because such questions can reasonably be solved using a bit of common sense along with the information provided.

  1. There is no guarantee that so many questions (like 60 or 70) will be asked from these notes again. The UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination is highly unpredictable — there may be 50 or 60 questions from these notes in Prelims 2025, or there may be 40 to 45 questions.
